Week 12 NotesAfter a few weeks of freaky 3-day weeks and holidays, we're starting on a four-week stretch of regular school. Calculus will start with an examination of situational problem solving and a recap of geometry facts. B will begin looking at exponents, in greater detail than perhaps you're used to. And statistics will start looking at variance in more depth. posted by henry | 8:31 PM| Week 11 NotesA short week, due to thanksgiving. No new homework, and no lectures at all in statistics (project, you know?). Have a nice holiday!! posted by henry | 8:27 PM| Week 10 NotesParent-teacher conferences have come and gone, which means that we're over a third of the way through the term. Time's really flying, isn't it? posted by henry | 4:42 PM| Week 9 NotesIt's yet another one of those short weeks that makes instruction so very effective. Sigh. Not for nothing, and I love democracy, but I'm not sure they have to close every school in the city so people can vote on tuesday. Cancel gym, put everyone in study halls that period, and let the rest of the day go on as it normally would. We're all trying to learn, and the entire thing smacks of the attitude that we don't want the reg'lar folks seeing what goes on in our schools. posted by henry | 3:04 PM| |
