Class Notes, Week of 11 April

Monday, April 11, 2005

In statistics, we've moved on to the rules for combining random variables -- nothing about which we should worry. Math B will be studying conic sections, and I'm particularly proud of the time we spent in class on monday -- think of it as the table of contents for the next week and a half.

Use those brains!

Class Notes, Week of 4 April

Monday, April 04, 2005

We're cruising along. Last week's statistics final was really a constructive thing, I think, and the results were very impressive. Math B is doing some great work, as well -- I've decided that we're going to eschew (look it up) a big test on the algebra we're practicing. The timing isn't right, with three weeks until break, and anyway, who likes tests?

In other news, it's now baseball season, it's over 50 degrees, and it feels like spring. It's going to take all of our willpower to stay focused -- three weeks to go!
