That'll Do It

Another year down. I remember when I started teaching, the cycle of it was amazing after 8 years of working in industry. Now, it just seems like the way things work.
You've probably heard that I'm leaving for a while, and I don't want to go into that here. Suffice it to say, it's not you, it's me. Well, OK, it's sort of you. Just kidding.
Please feel free to email me if you need anything recommendation-wise, and do stay in touch. It's been great.

We've made it! From here on out, it's pretty much all review. Stats is done completely -- I'll post the exam here next week, for posterity, and in geometry, we're done and reviewing.
With that in mind, these are particularly useful decks -- they contain most of the material that we've covered this term, in a condensed state. Keep this in mind as you try to put together your study materials!

This week, we start cleaning up and covering those last few topics in each course that we haven't yet hit. We'll actually complete the statistics curriculum with a look at correlation and regression and then start reviewing the spring semester for the final. In geometry, we'll finish with triangles.

Between the end of April break and the beginning of finals, there are only a handful of weeks of instruction. Though it's easy to get distracted, we need to stay focused for these last few meetings and finish strong.
Progress reports will be mailed home soon, as well, so let's keep that in mind as well.

This is it: SuperWeek! Seniors will be giving their senior project presentations, juniors will be doing whatever they do, and sophomores will be taking a practice SAT and visiting St. Joseph's college on Wednesday -- a nice way to coast into April break.
Because of all of this, no lessons this week, and no homework, either. I know, I know: you love lessons, and you can't live without homework. Well, I'm afraid you'll just have to learn to get by without it this week. Maybe you'll even go outside, or walk around in the woods. My only advice would be, if in your wanderings you stumble across an ancient native american burial ground, stay away. If what I've seen on TV is any indication, you don't want to mess around with that.
